The Woodpecker

This painting is from a journey that involved a Nothern Flicker Woodpecker. His message and gifts to the client were ‘focus and simplify’. Just as a woodpecker focuses intently on pecking at the tree to get food. It’s very simple and they focus on that one thing.

This client felt she was being pulled in too many directions and tended to take on too many responsibilities. This message for her to simplify and focus on one thing at a time helped her to find a way to engage more fully and be more relaxed in her body and mind.

The white triangle pyramid is a tool that was important as a sound healing method for her and was associated for her with the sound healing of the woodpeckers drumming sound.

The weaved cloth around her is representative of the energetic weave around her body that was being mended with the sound of the pyramid triangle and the woodpeckers sound.

This painting served as an alter for her to mediate on daily to receive and practice that self-healing and connect with the animal spirit guide that appeared for her.
